Egyptian PM holds discusses conservation of Cairo's historical area

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Thursday held a meeting to discuss the conservation of Cairo historical area.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of Awqaf, housing, antiquities, tourism and transport as well as the Cairo governor.
Mahlab stressed the importance of taking all necessary measures to counter any encroachments on or demolition of architecturally outstanding historical buildings in Cairo, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qawish said.
