Minister of Awqaf Mohammad Mokhtar Gomaa conferred on Monday with Ali Al Hashimi, adviser to UAE Minister of Religious and Legal Affairs Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nuhayyan, on means of renewing religious discourse and cooperation between the two countries.
A statement released by the Ministry of Awqaf on Monday said Gomaa invited the UAE official to take part in the proceedings of the first societal dialogue, to be held on Tuesday, and sponsored by the ministry to discuss means of renewing the religious discourse.
As many as 60 ministers, scientists and 22 researchers from 33 countries took part in Awqaf event.
