Egypt praises Sharjah Ruler's initiative for delivering 354 Egyptian artifacts
Cairo - Arab Today

Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended thanks and appreciation to H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah for delivering 354 artifacts that were seized and confiscated by the customs authorities at Sharjah International Airport.

Heba El-Marasy, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Cultural Relations of Egypt hailed the initiative of Sheikh Sultan.

She said that the gift comes in line with the cultural cooperation between the UAE and Egypt, stems from the two countries' keenness to preserve the intangible heritage of humanity, and reflects the strong relations between the two fraternal peoples.

The Egyptian diplomat said that she looks forward to stepping up co-operation and co-ordination with the UAE to protect Egypt's cultural heritage in particular and the human and historic heritage in general.
