Amman - Petra

The British Council and Children's Museum Jordan, a Queen Rania non-profit organization, today signed an educational cooperation agreement.
The agreement aims at enhancing children's reading abilities and conducting training courses to build teachers' skills in interactive education. They will develop techniques for dealing with children who are deaf or disabled in other ways , and will also learn to organize story telling sessions.
The understanding also includes the British Council hosting the story telling experts at the Mobile Children's Museum which tours remote and deprived areas.
The director of the British Council, Robin Richard, said, ''The agreement reinforces our successful partnership with the Children's Museum Jordan. This year, the council will expand the activities in order to reach teachers and children nationwide through interactive learning, in response to teachers' call to build their competencies with the ultimate goal of supporting school children in achieving their potential." The director of the Children's Museum, Sawsan Deleq, said, "We are very proud of this partnership which started three years ago and has been growing stronger every year. The partnership was built on the museum's strength in being accessible to children, teachers and families all over the Kingdom.
