Bahraini culture minister meets Spanish industry, energy and tourism minister

Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifamet here today the Spanish Industry, Energy and Tourism Minister José ManuelSoria Lopez to activate tourism exchange and explore new bilateral areas of cooperation, following the official talks between His Majesty King Hamad bin IsaAl-Khalifa and the Spanish Monarch King Juan Carlos.This meeting was held on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of a memorandumof understanding (MoU) on enhancing tourism cooperation between Bahrain andSpain, signed by the two ministersThey discussed means of enhancing cooperation in the future, highlighting theimportance of developing joint strategies to support the tourism in both countries.They stressed the importance of activating the memorandum in order to consolidatetourism exchange between the two countries and boost investment in this field,noting that Bahrain has made landmark strides in this area by being chosen theCapital of Arab Tourism 2013 and Capital of Asian Tourism 2014.Under the MoU, the two countries will exchange expertise and develop the exchangeand rapprochement between them.
