Minister of Supply Basem Oda confirmed the end of diesel oil crisis which gripped Egypt during the past period. In statements to Egyptian TV Channel 1 on Thursday, Oda said the state is taking serious measures to put an end to diesel oil smuggling. He added that there is no fuel crisis. Concerning wheat production, the minister said wheat is Egypt's first strategic crop and one of its mainstays of national security. Oda said statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture show that Egypt's production of wheat this year ranges between 9 to 9.5 million tons. He attributed this rise in wheat production to expanding agricultural lands by 10 percent. The state aims at realizing self-sufficiency within the coming four years, he said
