Iranian oil industry wide stride this year

"Given the existence of efficient contactors and good financial resources allocated to the oil industry by the parliament, we plan to launch a great volume of works several times more that existing activities," Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Qassemi said. Calling current Iranian calendar year as a year in which great leaps will be taken, the official said all parts of oil industry will start unfolding this year, the oil ministry's website, Shana, reported. Referring to signing 16 development contacts on development of oil and gas fields over the last year, Qassemi said, "This year will also be an important year in view of concluding oil and gas contracts amid a firm decision on determining the situation of shared oil and gas fields." "Given the good backing extended to the oil industry, it is assumed that we should not be concerned about meeting financial needs," Qassemi noted.
