Minister of Oil Rostan Qasemi said Tuesday that the country, according to the Fifth Development Plan, is to increase extract from gas fields to 1.47 billion cubic meters per day.In a meeting held with members of the cahmber of commerce in Tehran on Tuesday, Qasemi said the current amount of gas obtained daily from the gas fields was 630 to 650 million cubic meters. Largely, the country’s gas will be obtained from the joint gas fields with Qatar and Saudi Arabia, said Qasemi. based on the Fifth Development Plan (2010-15), the Oil Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran is planned to increase its oil production as well, noted Qasemi.
