Seoul - Yonhap

An association of gas stations in South Korea said Friday its members have decided to cancel their plan to temporarily close shop next week after striking a deal with the government.
Over 3,000 gas stations affiliated with the Korea Oil Stations Association (KOSA) planned to jointly close shop on June 24 in protest of a new government policy requiring weekly reports on the purchase and sale of petroleum products. They account for about 24 percent of some 12,000 gas stations in the country.
