New York - UPI

Crude oil prices climbed above $91 per barrel Thursday morning with support from a weaker dollar and a slight draw down U.S. stockpiles in the week. The U.S. Energy Information Administration said crude oil supplies fell by 809,000 barrels in the week, which left supplies 25 million barrels above levels at this time in 2011 and 38 million barrels above this week's five-year average. The dollar broke even Wednesday, but fell early in the day, sparking a rally. The dollar index was flat at 83.07 Thursday morning. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude oil for August delivery gained $1.68 to $91.55 per barrel. Heating oil on the exchange added 3.76 cents to $2.9152 per gallon. Natural gas shed 3.6 cents to $2.937 per million British thermal units, while reformulated blendstock gasoline gained 1.83 cents to $2.9017 per gallon. At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline added 1.1 cents overnight to $3.437 per gallon, AAA said.
