The World Bank offered a $2.7 million (nearly EGP 20million) grant to a project to assess and follow up the silt movement at LakeNasser/Nubia, said Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel-Motleb. In statements Sunday, Abdel-Motleb underlined the importance of the fifth meeting ofthe project's officials, currently in session in Aswan with the presence of WBrepresentatives and Egyptian and Sudanese water experts.The meeting will run until April 3 and proposals will be made to extend the project toa second phase as the current one will be completed by the end of 2014.
