Belarus delegation discusses cooperation with Egypt's banks

Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Rachkov has said a delegation of the National Bank of Belarus and Belarusbank discussed during a visit to Cairo, which ended Wednesday, means to boost cooperation with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the National Bank of Egypt. Banque Misr, Banque du Caire and International Commercial Bank.
In statements to MENA, he said experts from the two sides tackled cooperation between Egyptian and Belarussian banks and companies to support exports .
A memo of understanding was signed between the National Bank of Belarus and CBE, he said, adding an agreement was reached on sending a delegation from CBE to Minsk to hold more consultations on the agreement.
The diplomat said the Belarussian delegation also discussed with the board chairman of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) supporting Belarussian products in African markets in light of the Belarus-African forum in Minsk on June 6-10.
The delegation also met Egyptian businessmen on establishing a barter system between Egyptian and Belarussian produces.
