The Ministry of Public Works and Philips Lighting Middle East have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation in energy and renewable energy fields. Under the MoU, Philips will provide technical assistance and training as well as consultancy services on current and future designs of projects like hospitals, schools, infrastructure, and roads. The focus will be on the ministry's pilot solar-power project of road Intelligent LED lighting systems. Architects will also visit Philips innovation and research centres to view the latest lighting technology.
