Dubai - WAM

Dubai Customs has announced the launch of its services via smart watches, to keep up with the latest developments in the area of smart services delivery, offering more user-friendly and better accessible services.
The move is in pursuance of the vision of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and in fulfilment of the smart government goals set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed when he said, "A successful government is one that goes to the people and does not wait for them to come to it. The government of the future works 24/7 and 365 days a year.
"Delivering services through a smart watches platform is in response to the initiative to transform Dubai into the world's smartest city by taking services quality and delivery channels to a new height. This coincided with H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council launch of a government work system designed to lay the foundation stone for creating a smart government in all Dubai Government departments and institutions.
Dubai Customs smart watch site is compatible with all screen sizes. The interface features windows that provide direct access to the desired service.
"Dubai Customs continues to develop its services in harmony with the farsighted vision of Dubai Government to deliver integrated smart services. As the first fully-fledged smart government department, Dubai Customs will constantly incorporate the latest in the area of customer service," said Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, commenting on the new breakthrough.
Musabih remarked that Dubai Customs strives to develop its services to keep pace with the most cutting-edge world technologies in the area of customer service delivery. " Upgrading Dubai s public services to keep up with technological advancements will boost the Emirate s competitive edge and ability to attract global trade and investment." On his part, Juma Al Ghaith, Executive Director of Customs Development Division at Dubai Customs, said that DC is committed to improve customer satisfaction by offering smart and exceptional services. For that reason, DC has launched a new site to deliver its services through smart watches, recently developed by world tech giants.
