Minister Jarrah says work underway to reduce telecom, internet cost

Minister of Telecommunications, Jamal Jarrah, confirmed on Friday that his Ministry has undertaken work to reduce the cost of internet and telecom services, following the formation of a committee of experts to thoroughly look into this affair.
Speaking in an intervention on Voice of Lebanon (100.3) radio station, Jarrah promised to inform the civil society of the outcome of the committee's examination.
The Minister also indicated that work was underway to operate through fiber optics, which, one functioning, the 4G service will be available for all subscribers nationwide.
