Istanbul - Anadolu

Secretary General of Developing 8 countries (D-8) Ali Mohammad Mousavi proposed Turkish Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Nihat Ergun to produce a joint automobile with a joint brand. Ergun received Mousavi at his office on Sunday. In response to Mousavi's joint automobile and brand proposal, Ergun cautiously replied by saying, "Joint automobile is a far target however we can produce joint engine or other accessories." Mousavi also stated that Turkey carried a distinct responsibility towards D-8 countries and had to take greater initiatives as the most developed country in the group.
