Catherine gives birth to royal baby

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and husband Prince William on Monday welcomed their first child, a baby boy, after weeks of anticipation among fans of the royal family over the arrival of a new heir to the British throne. The baby was born at 4:24 p.m. London time, weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces. A name has not yet been announced for the child, who is now third in line to the throne.
