Saudi police arrested an old Pakistani woman for carrying illegal operations involving abortions and restoration of virginity, a newspaper said on Tuesday. Police seized the 62-year-old woman during a raid on her apartment in the western town of Makkah following information that she had turned her flat into a centre for illegal abortions and virginity-stitching, Kabar said. The woman, identified only as Aziza, had charged SR5,000 ($1,333) for abortion and SR6,000 ($1,600) for virginity stitching, the paper said. “After searching her flat, police men found SR43,000 and nearly SR50,000 worth of jewelry besides abortion pills, syringes and other medical supplies.”
