Undersecretary meets Russia’s deputy foreign minister

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, met the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Alexander Anatolyevich Pankin, on the sidelines of her participation in the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum held in the Russian Federation. 

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the ever-growing friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation under the joint efforts of the two countries to promote economic, political, and cultural cooperation. She also affirmed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to continue coordinating with the Russian Federation at all levels and on various issues for the common interest and aspirations of the two countries and friendly peoples. 

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation expressed his pleasure to have met with the Undersecretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, noting the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation and the advanced level they have reached. He also affirmed the Russian Federation's keenness to bolster its distinguished relations of friendship with the Kingdom of Bahrain and enhance their joint cooperation for the interest of the two countries, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

It is worth noting, that the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum was held in St. Petersburg, the Russian Federation, for the period starting 19 to 21 September 2018. It was organised by the Russian Federal Council and in cooperation with the Russian Roscongress Foundation. The Forum received a wide participation of representatives from more than 100 countries and international organizations.
