Multitouch capability, enhanced security on HP thin clients

HP announced it is enabling customers to expand multitouch business applications across HP thin clients with Windows Embedded Standard 7 WS7P SKU. The HP t610 Flexible Thin Client with Windows Embedded Standard 7 WS7P SKU offers easy deployment of multitouch digital signage and kiosks for banking and retail self-service scenarios. It also includes enhanced security lockdown, enriched media capabilities and more efficient network management. “HP thin clients with Windows Embedded Standard 7 WS7P SKU are ideal for businesses who want to easily add multitouch capabilities to thin clients powering retail or hospitality kiosks, or who want to customize and control user access policies more effectively,” said Jeff Groudan, director, Marketing, Thin Clients, HP. “The increased versatility of the Windows Embedded Standard platform will provide HP thin client customers with new options to drive their cloud business strategies.” HP thin clients running Windows Embedded Standard 7 WS7P SKU also offer: Microsoft DirectAccess, which makes it easier for customers to secure their remote workforce—without the need for a VPN.
