Minister of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Magdy el Agaty lauded the winning of the Egyptian women in the parliamentary elections.

About 60 seats were won by women in the party-based lists and 19 seats in the individual system, while 14 women will be appointed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the minister said.

These remarks came during the meeting held between el Agaty and the Japanese ambassador here.

The minister hailed good relations between the two countries and the support of the Japanese people to Egypt at all levels.

For his part, the Japanese diplomat underlined the importance of activating the Egyptian-Japanese friendship associations which have a great role in promoting joint ties.

He further hailed finalizing the third step of the Egyptian road map and congratulated el Agaty for finishing the parliamentary elections.
