Launching of 16-day campaign to combat violence against women in Sudan

The of 16 days campaign to combat violence against women will be launched, Tuesday, at the Friendship Hall, with the presence of the Vice-President of the Republic, Hassabo Mohammed Abdul Rahman and the Minister of Welfare and Social Security, Mashaer Al-Dawalab .
The Director of the Unit for Combating Violence against Woman and Children, Dr, Attiyat Mustafa, addressing SUNA regular Forum, Monday, affirmed that her unit has carried out a number of programs and activities , top of which, the Social Reform Program .
She said poverty could lead to violence and the denial of health care and education, stressing, commitment to combating violence against women and children through the Great Lakes Program, which includes 12 countries .
