Jeddah - Arab Today

Fitness First, the Middle East’s largest fitness brand, has confirmed the launch of ladies-only clubs in Saudi Arabia. The announcement is set to make an enormous impact on women in the Kingdom.
Fitness First already has a network of male-only clubs and is expanding further into the Kingdom. The anticipated launch of female-only clubs is in line with new regulations issued by the General Authority for Sports. The fitness brand will be bringing a host of its internationally qualified female personal trainers to train women in the Kingdom, and will offer some of its most sought-after classes, including BodyPump, Zumba and RPM and exclusive innovations, such as 6D and MYZONE. Women can also benefit from using other Fitness First ladies-only clubs in other countries when they travel.
Fitness First ladies-only gyms have won multiple awards in the region and have been rated “Best Ladies Only Facility in the UAE.” It has a network of successful ladies-only facilities across the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan and Kuwait.
Fitness First is opening its doors to the female community within the Kingdom to help educate them on the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle. The announcement is in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to increase the ratio of individuals exercising at least once a week from 13 percent of the population to 40 percent.
George Flooks, Fitness First COO, said: “Fitness First are excited to be bringing ladies-only gyms to the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia. Our concept will have over 70 GX classes a week and will be purpose built for ladies. Fitness First will bring the most talented and highly qualified staff in the region to the Kingdom, together with the best experience for ladies. Our clubs will be designed for exercise, comfort, a great social environment and convenience. We will also ensure all of our clubs have Arabic-speaking female staff to ensure we have the best connection with our members.”
Fitness First is looking to open its first ladies-only own gym in the Kingdom in 2017.
