A British Court decided on Thursday to imprison first British citizen accused of funding Jihadists who are fighting in Syria.
The court ordered imprisoning Amal Wahbi (27 years old), from Moroccan origin, for 28 months and 7 days.
The defendant faces charges of compelling her friend Nawal Mosad to smuggle 20.000 Euros in her under wear before leaving Heathrow Airport heading to Istanbul.
She asked her to hand the money to her husband who is fighting in Syria.
Mosad (27 years old) approved to transfer the money in return for having one thousand Euros. She was acquitted from all charges pertaining to terrorism in August.
Wahbi is the first British woman to be imprisoned for funding Jihadists.
Meanwhile, Mosad was arrested in Heathrow Airport before going on board of the plane heading to Istanbul in January 16.
