The suspect has confessed to murdering the woman
Helsinki - XINHUA

The executive director of the National Coalition Party (NCP) Youth League's Helsinki branch was suspected of killing a woman, reported Finnish national broadcaster YLE on Saturday.
The cruel killing of a woman was reported in the Finnish capital Helsinki one week ago, and the murder suspect has been confirmed to be the executive director of Youth League's Helsinki branch of the NCP, or the ruling party of Finland, YLE reported.
Police said the suspect first assaulted the victim in front of the apartment building where they both lived and then transported the woman by car to the seaside, where he continued to beat up the victim until dragging her into the sea.
The suspect has confessed to murdering the woman of foreign origin found dead in the sea in Helsinki on Sunday last week, according to the report.
Minna Arve, Party Secretary of the NCP, told YLE that the party leaders have been informed of the murder and identity of the suspect.
"We are all deeply shocked at this personal tragedy, and express our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased," Arve was quoted as saying.
Arve said it was an individual case that had nothing to do with the party.
Alexander Stubb, Prime Minister of Finland and Chairman of the NCP, has refused to comment on the case so far, said YLE.
