Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Bahrain Olympic Committee member and chairwoman of the women’s sport committee Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa will chair this meeting.

The committee will look into the programme of the tournament.

The sponsorship, marketing and TV telecasting rights agreement will also be announced at this meeting, in addition to reports from the executive committee in regards to latest arrangements made in preparation for next year’s event.

The fourth edition of AWST is under the auspices of the Her Highness Shaikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and Chairperson of Sharjah Women’s Sport Foundation.

It is expected to see a wide participation of sport clubs from across the Arab world. This year’s event will feature karate alongside the event’s traditional eight sports – basketball, volleyball, table tennis, fencing, archery, shooting, athletics, and show jumping.
