Secretary General Nabil el-Arabi
Cairo - MENA

Arab League Secretary General Nabil El Arabi called for empowering the Palestinian and Syrian women economically in the aftermath of the bad conditions the region is passing through.

Addressing the inaugural session of a regional forum on empowering women economically at the Arab League in cooperation with the Fund for Gender Equality of the United Nations and the European Union, Arabi said the pan-Arab organization was exerting strenuous efforts to empower Arab women economically.

He called on regional and international organizations to work for alleviating the sufferings of women and children especially after conflicts in some countries in the region.
