The statement added that day demonstrated the UAE leadership's will to advance women's causes and enhance the vital role of the GWU in the development and empowerment of Emirati and Arab women.

The Arab League's statement also hailed Sheikha Fatima's unflinching support for women's issues at local, Arab and regional levels, and her persistent efforts to grant women their full political, economic and social rights, being a key partner in the process of development and nation-building. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395284740229.html
