The project of HH Shaikha Moza bint Hamad Al-Khalifa School, which will be built on a land covering 50,000 square metres, won the award of the best smart school project, on the sidelines of the 3rd Sustainable Smart Cities Conference.

The state-of-the-art school project, set to cost BD11 million, will be funded through the GCC Development Programme in support of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

HH Shaikha Moza bint Hamad Al-Khalifa School will be the first world-standard green educational establishment of its kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the largest in terms of capacity and overall cost.

With a constructed area of 26,500 square metres, the school will include four educational buildings featuring 48 classrooms, with a capacity of 1440 students.

It will include multi-purpose labs for sciences, information technologies, a state-of-the-art library and other buildings, including a sport hall.
