The minister affirmed, during the meeting, the ministry’s interest in continued cooperation with UNICEF to improve the quality of education and supply schools with the requirements of a successful educational process.
The future of every single Syrian student counts, the minister said, indicating that the ministry has organized crash courses for students who missed exams due to the current security conditions0
The minister reviewed with the UNICEF resident representative the programs and plans that the ministry is implementing, in cooperation with UNICEF, thanking Abdul-Jalil for the organization’s efforts in Syria.
Dr. Abdul-Jalil, in turn, reassured that the plans and programs that UNICEF is executing in cooperation with the ministry are “progressing well”, calling for supplying the UN organization with accurate statistics and information for decisions to be taken in their light, particularly as regards having the humanitarian needs of students met.
