Egypt, UNESCO discuss cooperation

Higher Education Minister El-Sayyed Abdel Khalek met Monday with Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in Cairo Abdin Saleh to discuss ways to promote cooperation and support Egypt's plans to develop the higher education.
The minister called on the UNESCO to assist Egypt in developing the natural and engineering sciences teaching at universities and higher institutes and strengthening capacity in entrepreneurship and linking research to industries.
Saleh said a UNESCO delegation, under the auspices of Assistant Director-General Kwan Tang, is scheduled to visit Egypt from September 9 to 16 to discuss cooperation projects.
