Dammam - Arab Today

Electronic and Electrical Industries Corporation (EEIC) hosted a group of 15 electrical engineering students from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dammam recently.
The event was aimed to highlight the growing collaboration between the private and public sectors in the Kingdom and to allow students to see the concepts they have studied at the university being put into practice.
Abdulrahman Obadh, one of the visiting students, said on this occasion: “Seeing the electrical equipment was a great experience for making us understand and link the theoretical concepts with practice.”
The students were warmly welcomed at the facility by company management, including the EEIC’s CEO, Salah Nasr.
“It was an honor for us to host the students. We at Abunayyan Holding and the EEIC strongly believe in cultivating local talent and by giving students the chance to see our production facility. We helped them understand how a real factory operates. We would love to see them join us after graduation,” Nasr said.
Highlighting the EEIC’s business lines and products to the students, Mohamed Tayel, the company’s commercial operations director, gave a presentation to the group. A question and answer session was held later.
The interactive dialogue helped the students clarify doubts or questions regarding the technicalities of their field, giving them opportunity to form a more comprehensive understanding of what they have learned at the university.
Detailing the stages of the manufacturing process, the tour also included a talk on health, safety and quality as well as other technical aspects.
Hussam Al-Thewieni, a student, said: “The EEIC staff ... reminded us of how important our role was in building a bright future for Saudi Arabia. It was a great experience.”
EEIC, a subsidiary of Abunayyan Holding established in 1998, is an integrated power and automations solutions provider catering to the industrial infrastructure demands of the market.
From the oil and gas industry to petrochemicals, power, water and the infrastructure sector, EEIC is competitively positioned to service a wide range of industries in the Kingdom.
