Alexandria Governor Hany el Messiry held a meeting Thursday with Minister of Communications and Information Khaled Negm to discuss creating free WiFi hotspots which will give residents a strong and free internet connection in the streets of the coastal governorate.
President of the Federation Of Egyptian Chambers Of Commerce Ahmed Elwakeel attended the meeting.
They discussed the necessary security measures needed to prevent terrorists from using the free network.
According to the governor, citizens may log in to the Wifi connection using their national identification number along with the user data.
