Algeria's president makes brief TV appearance

Algeria's state telivision on Wednesdat broadcasted a footage showing a meeting held between President Abdel Aziz Bouteflika and veteran UN diplomat Lakhdar Brahimi.
The meeting tackled a number of regional and international issues.
Bouteflika made a brief appearance on the television amid growing concerns over his absence from public life.
He has made only brief television appearances in the past months and was absent when a French tourist was kidnapped and beheaded by extremists in September and when a plane crashed over the summer.
