Cairo – Mohammed Allouch

On Saturday episode of his show on CBC “Be hodoa” (Quietly), Media professional Emad Eldin Adeeb will discuss al-Qaeda file in Egypt, and if al-Qaeda members moved from Sinai to Cairo and Delta governorates, escaping the security pursuance. In the coming episode, Adeeb will host security and strategic expert General Sameh Saif al-Yazal, security expert General Magdy Bassiouny, lawyer of Islamic groups Montasser al-Zayyat and the professor of political sciences Dr Moataz Abdel Fattah. Adeeb poses a question to his guests wondering if al-Qaeda members are now sleeping among the people in the suburbs of Cairo, after being surrounded in Sinai. The programme is to be shown at eleven in the evening. Lately, al-Qaeda imposed itself on the political scene after many news reporting arresting several cells in Cairo and Delta who adopt the ideologies al-Qaeda. The last of these was Nasr City cell, east Cairo, which was stopped after security confrontations that lasted five hours. Another cell that was discovered before was in Tanta, central Delta, in addition to discovering a weapon storage in Borg al-Arab city, north west the country. In the last months, several police and army forces launched intensified operations over the hotbeds of these groups in Sinai, near the borders between Egypt and the Palestinian Gaza Strip. It was said that al-Qaeda cells moved from Sinai to Delta governorates, and the security operations are still ongoing in Sinai.
