French Le Monde newspaper
Cairo - MENA

The French Le Monde newspaper has said Egypt is back at the international scene, having played its traditional role as a mediator between Israel and the Palestinians in the Gaza war.
Egypt's Abdel Fattah El Sisi started a European tour on Monday, with Italy as his first destination, followed by the Vatican and France.
According to the newspaper, French President Francois Hollande will meet Sisi on Wednesday to discuss bilateral ties, especially regional security and economy.
The visit was planned by Hollande and his Egyptian counterpart on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting in September.
It also said the Libyan issue was expected to be tackled, as both countries fear that Libya, plagued with political divisions, would fall into the hands of jihadist groups.
