Katie Couric leaving ABC for Yahoo

Broadcast journalist Katie Couric is negotiating an exit package with ABC, so she can move on to a new post at Yahoo! The Hollywood Reporter said Friday. Couric's ABC talk show "Katie" will likely end after its current second season, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said. "Katie is an incredible journalist and this was an opportunity that she couldn't pass up," THR quoted an unnamed network executive as saying. "Thanks to the powerful association between ABC News and Yahoo! we know that Katie will continue to work closely with us and welcome her on our air anytime."
