The Gulf Press Union will hold its 4th conference on April 16 in Manama, with the participation of editors-in-chief of the Gulf newspapers, who are members of the union. According to the union's by-law, a new president and Secretariat General will be elected during the conference for a new four-year term, Gulf Press Union Secretary General Nasser Mohammed Al-Othman said. He added that the current Secretariat General will hold its last meeting on April 15 under the chairmanship of the union's President Turki bin Abdullah Al-Sidiri to approve the agenda and discuss ways of ensuring success of the forthcoming conference and elections.
