The death of 17-year-old Abdul Rahman Abu Jamal, from Jabal al-Mukabber neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem, in an Israeli hospital after he was shot and critically wounded last week in an alleged stabbing attack was highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies on Wednesday.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida said the Israeli authorities also informed owners of 20 shops in Shufat refugee camp in Jerusalem of an intention to demolish them for construction without permit.

The paper also highlighted a meeting between President Mahmoud Abbas and the Chinese envoy to the Middle East during which the president urged China to play a bigger role in the Middle East political process.

It said Human Rights Watch called on Booking.com to remove listings in Israeli settlements from its travel arrangements.

It quoted Palestine’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, saying the Human Rights Council gave Israel 60 days to explain its Nation-State law.

Al-Quds said US President Donald Trump met with his senior advisors and the team who wrote the so-called deal of the century in order to decide on a date to make it public.

It said outgoing US envoy to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, has distributed a draft resolution to the UN General Assembly to condemn Hamas.

It said UNRWA’s chief complemented international efforts to get the UN Palestine refugee agency out of its deficit.

The paper also quoted the UN agency, OCHA, saying 705 Israeli military checkpoints and other obstacles disrupt life of two million Palestinians in the occupied territories.

Al-Ayyam said the Israeli parliament voted on a law allowing expanding the Jewish settlement in Silwan neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem.

It said Israeli soldiers closed entrances to Beit Jala and Beit Fajjar in the south of the West Bank following a stabbing of an Israeli settler in the area.

It also quoted Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah saying that dialogue will continue on the social security law and joining it is put off until January 15 of next year.

It said the Egyptian paper on reconciliation does not include negotiations or signing new agreements.
