Stephen Colbert announces end date for 'The Colbert Report'

Stephen Colbert announced his last day as host of The Colbert Report on Twitter, saying it will be just before Christmas.
While pushing his book America Again: Re-becoming the Greatness We Never Weren't, Colbert said his role as the host will end Dec. 18.
"Stephen Colbert, the guy you've seen here every night for nine years, will be gone. All you'll have left of me is this book," he said.
Colbert will take over for David Letterman on Late Night in 2015.
