The Supreme Council of Journalism expressed sadness at the terrorist operation which took place in Helwan Sunday morning and left eight policemen dead.

In a statement Sunday, the council offered condolences to the families and friends of the victims and appreciated the sacrifices of policemen while confronting the enemies of the homeland.

The council renewed confidence in all Egyptians topped by the journalists and urged them to stand by the government to defeat the common enemy and achieve the goals of the January 25 and the June 30 revolutions.
