Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Abu dhabi - Arab Today

The UAE leadership is looking forward to a national media industry that lives up to the standards of achievements and rises to the challenges while keeping pace with modern technology to strengthen its mission, reflect the image of the country’s progress, and project and support the UAE’s regional and international causes, said His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

"Media organisations should also nurture and empower young talents to rise to the national responsibilities and contribute effectively towards development," he said while receiving a delegation from Abu Dhabi Media Company, led by Director-General Dr. Ali bin Tamim, at Qasr Al Bahr Palace.

He underlined the vital role of media in supporting the overall development and achievements taking place in the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

"Media with a sense of responsibility can bring about positive changes in all spheres that are of interest to the members of the society. The sector serves as an important link between people and officials," he said.

The media industry cannot achieve its set goals if it fails to offer sound content and form or fails to help strengthen the ties between generations and their past and present while leading them to the future, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi stressed.
