The fourth edition of the Gulf Political Media Forum will open on Wednesday under the patronage of Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa. Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) is organising the symposium at Art Rotana Hotel in Amwaj Islands under the theme "Media and Gulf Identity". 

The forum is expected to attract 500 media figures, thinkers, politicians, researchers and other participants interested in media and political affairs from GCC and Arab countries. The forum will focus on ways of consolidating the role of the media sector on protecting the Arabian Gulf identity amid mounting challenges and dangers. Information Affairs Minister, BIPD Board of Trustees' Chairman Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi and former Kuwaiti Information Minister Dr. Saad bin Tafla will address the opening ceremony.
