The World Social Media Club (SMC) will organize the fifth Social Media Masters Forum 2017 on December 2-3 under the patronage of Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital.

This year’s forum will be in partnership with the US embassy in Bahrain and Tamkeen under the theme "Social Media Services for the Business Sector" and will bring together participants from Bahrain, US and the Arab world.

Over 250 members of the World Social Media Club, joiners of SMC programmes and advocates of entrepreneurship and social media in Bahrain and the region will attend.

Shaikh Hisham stressed that his patronage of the forum comes within the framework of the governorate's keenness to encourage entrepreneurs and SMEs to benefit from the potential of marketing, training, employment and other benefits provided by the social media, and in line with leveraging the national competences through harnessing the latest technologies to serve the economy.

He also expressed his hope that the forum will come up with recommendations to enhance the leading position of Bahrain on the global map of the social media industry, create new jobs in the field of social media.
This will allow huge growth opportunities for individuals and companies with minimum investments, in addition to developing new products or services and creating new markets for Bahraini entrepreneurs.

Co-Chair of Global Social Media Club Ali Sabkar pointed out that the fifth version of the forum brings together six experts from the United States who will share their global expertise in entrepreneurship, social media, digital marketing, branding, training, leadership and management.

"These experiences will focus on leading practices in offering social media services to businesses in the United States and worldwide," he said. "The forum will also attract Arab social media speakers and experts from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon and Jordan, who will present their accumulated experiences in their respective fields."
