Dr. Mohammed Bin Dainah, CEO of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), received Bradnee Chambers the Executive Secretary of the Convention on Conservation of Migratory Species (CMS).
They reviewed the significance of Bahrain's joining the CMS agreement in view of its strategic geographic location that offers breeding grounds and attractive habitats for rare migratory birds, turtles, sharks and other species which is a real wealth that attracts tourism and generates handsome economic revenue.
They discussed various issues regarding endangered species, regional and international efforts and cooperation on the protection of these species.
Chambers praised Bahrain's efforts in protecting wild fauna and flora biodiversity, aspiring for further bilateral communication regarding protection of migratory species.
