Ankara - Anadolu

Turkey and Japan agreed on an investment of 22 billion USD for establishment of a nuclear energy power plant in Turkey. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe signed a declaration on setting up a strategic partnership between Turkey and Japan as well as a declaration which guarantees a previously-signed cooperation agreement on nuclear energy. In a joint press conference, Erdogan said they took a step for nuclear energy power plant between Turkey and Japan. This step was very important to take. We have an ongoing nuclear energy power plant process with Russia in Mersin-Akkuyu. Now, we have taken a step with Japan for another nuclear energy power plant.
