Seoul government OKs construction of 2 new nuclear reactors

The South Korean government said Wednesday that it has given final approval to a plan to build two new nuclear reactors on the country's eastern coast by 2020. Under the plan, approved Jan. 23, the construction of what will be Shin Kori Reactor Unit 5 and 6 will begin in September for completion by December 2020, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said in a press release.
