Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, today received a number of experts of the World Energy and Environment Council and organisers of the 5th World Energy and Environment Conference and Exhibition 2018 held on January 6 in Bahrain.

Environmental issues were discussed, notably relating to the reduction of emissions and the sustainability of natural resources.

The experts reviewed successful experiences in the field of renewable energy, waste management, mechanisms for dealing with gases released from the decomposition of organic matter, in addition to proposals for dealing with local environmental issues. They expressed keenness to enhance cooperation with the SCE at the technical level.

The SCE Vice President welcomed boosting cooperation between the two sides to contribute to raising environment awareness and promoting Bahrain’s reputation for building regional and international partnerships.
