Saudi Arabia to launch atlas of sources of renewable energy

Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) is to launch tomorrow the country's project on renewable energy. The project, entitled "Atlas of the Sources of Renewable Energy in Saudi Arabia," is set to be one of the landmark projects implemented by the city with the participation of local and international expertise, Saudi Press Agency reported today. The national project aims to attract local and foreign investments in the field of renewable energy by harnessing the potential that abounds in the Kingdom in the field of solar, thermal and wind energy. The project draws the profile for the future of clean energy in the Kingdom and provides technical data and information of renewable energy sources in the various regions of the Kingdom. Speakers at the launching ceremony will highlight the major features of the atlas project and its strategic trends in serving the renewable energy sector in the Kingdom.
