The Electricity Ministry said on Saturday that sabotage acts have targeted two power towers in Makadi station, one of which is used for transforming power to Hurghada International Airport.
In a statement released on Saturday, the ministry said the damage caused one of the towers to fall, while the second was partially damaged.
The transformer station of Hurghada Tourist Center was used to power the airport till the fixing of the towers of Safaga line, south of Hurghada.
The two powers are to be fixed within a week at a cost of EGP 620,000.
